3D (or "puffy") embroidery 🧵 is similar to standard embroidery, but with a twist! A special layer of dense foam is placed under the embroidery to create that cool "puffy" effect. 🎨

What you need to know 🤔

3D embroidery works best on thick, firm fabrics, making it ideal for items like caps 🧢 hoodies, jumpers and jackets 🧥

• It’s not suitable for lightweight fabrics like t shirts and polo tops 🙅

Design Requirements

To achieve the best 🥇 results, your artwork should be:

• Simple with thick lines and solid fills, think blocky and bold!

Pros of 3D Embroidery:

• High perceived value 🏆

• Great aesthetic appeal with the right artwork 🎨

• Flexible most file formats can be converted to 3D, although EPS is preferred.
  
  

Cons of 3D Embroidery:

• Not suitable for fine details in artwork 🔍

• No gradient colour fades, as thread is a solid colour 🎨

• Text must be at least 12mm in height (smaller text won’t work!) 📝

• Minimum line thickness of 3mm & maximum thickness of 7mm

• Requires a stitch fill base under the main artwork for best results 🧵

• More expensive 💵 then standard embroidery

Artwork Format 🎨

EPS is best (with fonts converted to outlines). But most hi res artwork files (JPG, PDF, PNG etc) will do the job! 🖼️

New Artwork Approval Method 🖌️

For new customers (or existing customers with new artwork), the Branding Setup Fee includes a physical sample stitch 🪡 out of your 3D embroidery on fabric for approval. Once approved, our machines store your artwork for future use. No repeat setup fees unless artwork changes are made or you select a different branding method.

Note: The stitch out is provided on sample fabric, not the exact product fabric. However, it’s an exact replica of how your logo will look 👀 in bulk production, same size, same colour, same everything! 🌟
