Stemming from ye olden days of monogramming using only a needle, a thread & a well calloused thumb, embroidery is still the most popular branding method for uniforms & headwear.
In some respects things haven't changed much - it's still a needle & thread, just more of them, moving at much faster speeds & controlled by a computer.
While embroidery is our most popular branding method, it does have its limitations.
Pros :
- has a high perceived value
- sits on top of the fabric providing a "3D" effect
- uses the same raw material as the garment, ie a thread, making it more stable
- long life span compared to other branding methods
- most file formats can be converted to embroidery, however EPS is best.
Cons :
- isn't great with fine detail
- can't produce gradient colour fades, as thread is a solid colour
- text needs to be at least 6mm in height otherwise it can look messy
- pricing is based on stitch count so very large embroideries (like on the back of jackets) can be quite expensive
- keylines around fonts increase the stitch count & cost considerably & often look messy
Best for :
-
a branding all rounder that's suitable for almost any fabric based product including caps, beanies, bags & garments.

For repeat artwork : 1 unit for clothing & beanies & 24 units for caps
Maximum Brandable Area :
-
230mm wide x 230mm length
Artwork Format :
- EPS is best with fonts created to outlines. But with embroidery most hi res artwork files will do the job!
New Artwork Approval Method :
For new customers or existing customers with new artwork your Embroidery branding setup fee covers the cost of producing a physical sample stitch out of your logo on a swatch of fabric* for approval. Once approved your artwork is stored in our machine for future use. You won't need to pay any repeat order setup fees, unless you change or modify your artwork or branding method.
*Please note : the stitch out is prepared on sampling fabric which won't be the same fabric as your garments. The stitch out is an exact "stitch out" of how your logo will be on your completed garments.
